Trifecta:Longing Realized

Gabriel’s eyes followed the swing of Jane’s hips as she strode to the copier, the stiletto of her snakeskin heel accentuating her tanned, lean legs and cinched waist. Watching her tuck a strand of her honey colored curls behind her ear and punching buttons on the machine almost brought him to the point of madness at his desk. He simply couldn’t take his eyes off her.

“I want you.” He murmured and turned his attention to a stack of files waiting for his signature.

Jane stood at the copier and fumbled with the papers in her hands, accidentally scattering them around her like a white skirt on the floor when she realized Gabriel had come out his office holding his duffel bag.

Normally, here at the office, he hid all the hard work he did at the gym under button down shirts and dress pants. Yet since she’d seen him at the company picnic in a snug gray t-shirt she’d indulged the futile dream of him noticing her.

She whispered, “I want you.”

Happy Hour was in full swing, the flirtatious atmosphere around the high top table was doused in sweet liquor evidenced by a stack of empty shot glasses.

Cheeks flushed, eyes bright and engaged, the staff relaxed and drank to the end of a long work week.

Jane excused herself and moved toward the restrooms, unaware that Gabriel had followed her and now stood like a sentry against the wall outside.

When she emerged, his fingertips brushed her bare arm and pulled her toward him.

“Hey!” she gasped as her cheeks flamed with astonishment. “Were you waiting for me?”

“Yes” he answered, his hand moving to her hip. “Longer than you know.”

Their eyes locked in the dimly lit and smoky bar, simultaneously surprised and thrilled at what they saw.

Suddenly, their words tumbled over one another, spilling out of them.

Didn’t you know..?”
“Couldn’t you tell..?”

But as their lips met, their breathless words did too…

“I want you.”

Nice. I love the way they converge in more senses than one at the end!

    • oh thank you, I’m glad it worked to make you believe it in the end. It means a lot to me to have you come over and read it at all. THANK YOU.

The desire is so tight here. These two are captive to their needs. They are in some serious lust, and there’s only one solution I know of to that.

Oh, fun. There is much to like in this deliciously sinful piece, but what I like most what the sense of confusion that these two had and their sense of resolve. It is actually quite brave to admit to oneself and certainly out loud that you want someone.

    • HI there, so glad you liked it, this one was a little difficult to get right but thankfully my “friends” read and read and read until I thought it’s “believable” now. I am always glad when you visit, this time was no exception. Thank you so much.

    • LOL, I think I’m just going to give up my pride and start writing for Harlequin. It seems that I could be good at that. (Who needs to write the newest American Classic, when I do “Very.Hot” so well??? ;)

thanks for coming over and reading it Frelle, love seeing you here.
