Charlotte looked down at her watch and raised her glass of Champagne.
“C’mon Kay, one more toast.”
Katie’s fingers trailed around the stem of her flute, willing her tears to stay put.
“Hey…”Charlotte said softly. “…you made it. It’s midnight.”
Katie let go, letting the salty drops course down her cheeks. “Yeah…I made it through the day the love of my life married someone else.” She raised her glass in mock victory.
“But at least now you can try to move on. It’s over Kay.”
“No.” She sobbed. “It won’t be over until he puts a ring on my finger.”

I don’t know if it’s the ring that is important. It’s the choice he made, to be the good guy, to do the right thing. Katie feels like she’s not good enough to be the right thing and that hurts. Plus he’s not offering “lovers” as part of the deal now , it takes him 18 yrs to get there.
but I am glad that Leeroy liked it…does this mean I get to pick next week?

well it takes 18 yrs for her to find out if that ring is worth it or not…and we’re not even at that part of the story yet…but her marriage to Anthony is part of it, the price she pays insteada of having the ring she wants.
